Little for Victorians with disability to celebrate on the International Day of People with DisabilityHR&SS recognises lack of accessibility in Victoria's public transport as major deterrent to people with disability being able to access employment, education and health services. The cost and lack of reliability of taxi services is a disincentive for people with disability seeking employment. It is difficult to arrive at work on time if you have to wait in excess of an hour for a taxi and the cost of travelling to and from work is often $40 or more, compared to a $7 daily Metcard.
