Associations and partnerships

HR&SS is involved in a number of associations and membership organisations to support the changes that need to happen to create an accessible and fair community for people with disabiltiies. These include:

• Victorian Universal Housing Alliance
• National Disability Service
• Victorian Council of Social Services (VCOSS)

Student internships

We understand how important work experience is to students studying disability, community development and other not-for-profit courses. We partner with a number of universities to offer student placements each year to help bridge the gap between study and work. 

Organisations that help us to achieve our mission

Optus Community Foundation granted us $5000 in 2011 to create the My Amazing Life project. They have additionally provided support by speaking at our Annual General Meeting and assisting with public relations.

The Lord Mayor's Charitable Foundation, the Paterson Family Fund of the Australian Communities Foundation and the Victorian Women's Trust have all contributed funding to support our Creating Change program, helping to educate disability service providers about family violence.
